Boiler MACT & CISWI MACT

What are Boiler MACT & CISWI MACT?

Boiler MACT regulates production of carbon monoxide (CO). If CO is managed by combustion conditions, NOx production increases. The most efficient strategy for Boiler MACT compliance is to control CO in the boiler and allow the UltraCat Catalytic Filtration System to remove NOx in the flue gas.

CISWI MACT regulates air pollutants from commercial and industrial solid waste incineration units, used for municipal solid waste; hospital, medical and infectious solid waste; commercial and industrial solid waste, etc.

Tri-Mer’s UltraCat Catalytic Filter Systems offer significant advantages over conventional devices used to comply with Boiler MACT and CISWI MACT standards.

UltraCat Ceramic Filters remove SO2, HCl, HF, NO and NO2

Applications

Tri-Mer hot gas filtration systems remove gas pollutants that are generally treated with a wet scrubber or through high-temp SCR. These gases include SO2, HCl, HF, NO and NO2.

They are ideal for waste incineration, coal combustion, biomass combustion, industrial boilers, biomass boilers, and emissions from mixed fuels such as chicken litter, tires, and municipal solid waste. The technology is also a solution for cement and lime manufacturers operating under CISWI regulations. Tri-Mer catalytic filtration systems can meet the 0.0011 lbs/MMBtu requirement for Boiler MACT, as well as requirements for CISWI MACT.

Systems are manufactured to customer requirements in materials suited to the temperature of operation, including mild steel and stainless alloys. Systems range to 100,000s cfm. Request a Quote.
