Mist Eliminators for Industrial Use

What is a Mist Eliminator?
Mist Eliminators (aka Coalescing Filters) capture contaminants in liquid droplets emanating from a gas stream, including aerosol droplets, oil and glycol mists and fogs, and chemical mists from sulfuric acid, industrial degreasers, hydrocarbons, and aromatic or chlorinated VOCs. These droplets are virtually universal in commercial heating, cooling and lubrication processes, as well as many manufacturing operations.
Mists degrade air quality, lessen or complicate the service life of equipment, and cause safety issues if not addressed.
Tri-Mer’s Mist Eliminator is a practical, cost-effective solution to industrial mists with a strong track record.

Design and Performance Features of the Tri-Mer Mist Eliminator
- Low pressure design minimizes energy use.
- Unique, long-lasting filter cartridges which are easily removed, cleaned and restored to service.
- Gauges at the first and second stages monitor static pressures across the filter pads. Automatic wash-down cycle can then be activated; wash-down can also be initiated manually.
- Out-performs centrifugal collectors, indexing fabric filters, electrostatic precipitators.
- All-steel construction; PVC blower and ducting available.
- Easy to install. Skid-mounted package includes duct connections, controls interfacing, fan, recirculation, pump, piping.
- A documented track record for uptime performance, and requires very little maintenance. When maintenance is needed, operation can continue without interruption.
- Accommodates multiple mist sources.
Condensables are contaminants from the vapor phase of a process. They are present (or are cooled) to their dew point and condense, making impingement possible.
Dew point is the temperature at which water vapor in the air condenses into liquid water when the air is cooled at constant pressure and humidity.
